Educator of the year awards
For the second year in a row, Mr. Glenn Barger, Chairman of the Education Foundation for Catawba County Schools, presented each of our top five district-wide winners with a $2,000 professional development scholarship for a total of $10,000.
The Education Foundation also awarded an additional $5,000 in professional development grants to educators who were selected through an application process. Mr. Jared Clark, last year's Teacher of the Year, presented to our esteemed group with a few of the pearls that he gained from an international education conference in Germany that he attended using his $2,000 scholarship. |
